PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
15 years of working experience at various Headquarters, Ships, Airport Establishments and Training Institutes of Indian Navy.

 

Nine months experience as a Central Manager in an educational institution at Wayanad, Kerala, India; where I successfully directed a score of teaching and admin staffs, and efficiently conspired, different people as one cohesive unit with a common goal to impart the best training to nearly 200 students of various classes.

 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 

·         Mechanical Supervisor of Seaking helicopter in the Indian Navy.

 

·         In-Charge of Budget Section of Air Engineering Department, INS Dega, Visakhapatnam.

 

·         Coordinating with various sub-units under ENC (Eastern Naval Command) to understand their administrative and budget requirements so as to enable effective planning and judicious expenditure of funds.

 

·         Managing manpower, to coordinate aircraft technical works and various operations like SAR (Search and Rescue).

 

·         Custodian of various ledgers/ office equipment and overseeing of work related to Infrastructural growth of the organization, including processing cases for procurements of equipments and materials.

 

·         Mentoring and guiding subordinates in achieving organizational goals.

 

·         First line for dealing with redressal of grievances of divisional sailors, appraisal and planning of leave data.

 

·         Executing the various welfare measures of personnel formulated by the Top Level Management.

 

·         Maintenance of discipline, law & order among service/civilian personnel of the department.

 

·         Planning, co-ordination and execution of seminars/ functions.

IMPORTANT ACHIEVEMENTS
·         During the tenure at INS Garuda, Indian Navy’s Major Aviation Training Establishment, Kochi, had efficiently trained and managed the OJT (On the Job Trainee) curriculum and maintained the service records of the trainees.

 

·         Taken part in the commissioning of a first indigenous stealth warship for the Indian Navy (INS Shivalik). I was the Head of Department of Aviation Engineering section and helped the Navy to build the ship with all aviation facilities, and successfully carried out the helicopter trials.

 

·         Effectively managed, budgeted and ensured utilization of  the funds of various departments and flights in INS Dega, the Naval Airport,  under the control of Eastern Naval Command in the capacity of Section-in-Charge of Procurement Section for two consecutive Financial Years (until my retirement from the Navy).

EDUCATIONAL  QUALIFICATION
·         Graduation : BBS (Bachelor of Business Studies) from Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu in 2009.

 

·         Higher Secondary : HSC board, in 1998 Govt. Higher Secondary School, Gudalur, Tamil Nadu.

 

·         Secondary School:   SSC Board, Tamil Nadu in 1996 from St. Thomas High School, Gudalur.

 

·         Presently pursuing another distant graduation programme, namely BA (English) from IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University), India.

 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATION
Successfully completed the Basic, Leading and Chief courses along with on the job training for Aircraft Engineering (engine and airframe – Seaking Helicopter, Westalnd Sikorsky, Rolls Royce engine) from the Naval Institute of Aeronautical Technology, Kochi, India. The course includes training in the Fire Fighting and Nuclear Warfare.

 

Successfully completed the ‘Leadership Course’ conducted by the Indian Navy in Feb 2011.

 

Successfully completed a certification course ‘Basic Training Programme for Use of Hindi on Computer’ sponsored by Department of official Language in Dec 2012.

 

Successfully completed the six months Training Programme in CCNA, (Computer Hardware and Networking) from Indo-German Institute of Advanced Technology, Visakhapatnam in Sep 2013.

 

Successfully completed STCW (Standard of Training Certification and Watchkeeping for seafarers) from Eurotech Maritime Academy, Kochi. The course syllabus includes Personal Survival Techniques, Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting, Personal Safety and Social Responsibility and Elementary First Aid.
