Personal Profile

I am a graduate of Edinburgh Napier University with a First Class degree in Marketing Management with Entrepreneurship. I am reliable, responsible and have strong leadership skills, gained from working in a variety of managerial roles.which I gained from working at a summer camp in Michigan, USA, where I worked as a Programme Director.  I also have experience working with charities, having volunteered with Riding for the Disabled and Stable Life.

Strengths

Strong communicator – Able to communicate with many different people by listening to their needs and adapting to them.  Strong presenting skills gained from university and also from being a riding instructor.
Customer Service – Able to build rapport quickly and keep calm under pressure to solve problems and meet deadlines.
Teamwork – Gained the ability to work well in a team from playing sports such as hockey, to doing group presentations at university and working as a team at camp to create a safe environment for the children.
Initiative – Working at camp and with children day to day helped me develop the skills to think on my feet and solve problems quickly and calmly.
Leadership skills – Have been in charge of groups of 5 – 50 children and also junior staff, teaching them and evaluating their progress as they grow.
Currently hold an International Driving Permit (IDP 1949).

Working as a team to manage over 70 staff members; supervising all daily activities, camper interactions and staff relations.  Supervising horseback riding programme at camp, to ensure high quality instruction and supervising daily and long term barn operations for over 60 horses.  Worked as the staff manager, managing rotas, time off requests and evaluations, as well as the barn manager, managing horses schedules, routines and feed.

Creating a blueprint for the brand by using branding strategies and theories.   Using this to increase blog traffic, develop the ire-marketing campaign and develop their social media following and strategy.

 

Marketing Assistant

Supporting the Marketing Account Managers creating marketing campaigns with brands such as Highland Spring and Speyburn Whiskey.  Assisting with the researching of the campaigns and the post event analysis.  Creating PowerPoints for client presentations, researching competitor’s brands and planning the strategic positioning of our brands in the market.

Duties include the preparation and organisation of events, serving customers, bar work and working as a team to ensure events run smoothly.  Including working with brands who were hosting pop up events at the hotel, such as Patron Tequila.  Very detail orientated and customer focused, giving me strong organizational skills and the ability to think on my feet.

Interests and Achievements

I have played hockey for 10 years and currently play for the Edinburgh Napier University hockey team. I was President of the club and captain in the 2014-2015 season and am now Vice President.
I have been involved with working with two charities, both of which have centred around horse therapy, and this is something that I enjoy and would like to take part in again.
