Description

For the past 2 years I have worked a variety of roles which have shown me the rewards of genuine adventure. Having worked as an Adventure Specialist in the Sierra Nevadas of California, I learned a great deal about coordinating outdoor trips and gained a deep appreciation for outdoor recreation. In this position, I helped organize and guide small group backcountry expeditions and  grew to understand the value in creating an exceptional customer experience. Prior to that, I worked as a sales assistant at a chocolate factory in Bali, which taught me the excitement of travel and discovering cultures outside of my own. Lastly, as a deckhand aboard a fishing vessel in Alaska, I discovered the majesty of the mountains in the Alaskan wilderness. Beyond my work experience, I am currently an active member in both the Christchurch Tramping Club and the New Zealand Alpine Club (NZAC) where I have continuously been exploring the wonders of the New Zealand backcountry. I am seeking a position this summer that will help fuel my passion for adventure tourism as well as help others find their own New Zealand adventure.
