Personal Statement_______________________________________________
Ever since I visited New Zealand in 2011 it has been a goal of mine to finish university and travel to New Zealand to live and work for an extended period of time. I have always had a passion for living adventurously and experiencing as much as I possibly can. I have worked since I was 15 years old gaining a myriad of different skills and abilities. These experiences and skills have taught me to work hard and be passionate.
Work History___________________________________________________
Chocolate Maker, Mast Brothers Chocolate, Los Angeles California, US
March 2016 – Present
My role revolves around learning the craft of chocolate making, including the different processes and techniques. At Mast Brothers I am learning skills that translate to patience, determination and finesse.
Strengths and Achievements:
· Create 400-500 craft chocolate bars, such as Sea Salt, as well as different cookies, confections and chocolate beer on a daily basis.
· Constantly improve kitchen skills, such as sanitation processes, knife skills and maintenance of equipment.
Co-Founder, The Club – University Adventure Group, Orange California, US
December 2013 – May 2016
My oldest friend and I created this group to get university students out of their daily routine and experience different adventures in our area.
Strengths and Achievements:
· Planned, coordinated and organized over 15 different trips during my time in University for over one hundred students.
· We took students on trips including bungee jumping, overnight camping, hiking, cliff jumping and a multitude of other activities.

I worked at this two-person run, artisanal, natural food based restaurant during my university breaks for over 4 years. Here I learned time management, customer service and was entrusted with management level tasks at a young age.
Strengths and Achievements:
· Performed managerial duties such as opening, closing, cash handling and building management.
· Interacted with over 100 customers per day by taking orders, delivering food and ensuring satisfaction.

I worked here while I was in school at Chapman University. I was in charge of connecting university students with local volunteer agencies. I also coordinated and organized large person events and fundraisers for several volunteer agencies.

Growing up outdoors in Colorado, United States has fueled my passion for having an adventurous and exhilarating lifestyle. For the past 3 years I have competed in Off Road Triathlons. In September 2015 I placed third at the Xterra Off Road US National Race in the 20-25 Age Group. I enjoy adventure sports such as mountain biking, backpacking and anything that gets my adrenaline pumping. One of my goals in life is to experience new things that the day to day adult may not have done.
